D6 VIRGIN BUNKER DIESEL FUEL OIL

Bunker fuel or bunker crude is technically any fuel oil used aboard vessels. Named from the tanks on ships and in ports it is stored in; they are bunker fuel tanks.

D6 is also known as Residual Fuel Oil (RFO) and is of high viscosity.  Russian D6 is mainly used in power plants and larger ships.  Residual means the material remaining the more valuable components of crude oil has boiled off.

Despite the recent changes in fuel quality regulation requiring further refining of D6 to remove or at least reduce pollutants such as sulfur, D6 is still less useful because of its viscosity as well as its need to be pre-heated before it can be used.
